Marcus Marsden

I graduated from Oxford University in 1989 and followed that up with twelve years of Marketing and Change Management experience in Unilever, based in UK. In 2002, I left Unilever and Europe for a career in Leadership Development and Executive Coaching.

Early in my life I represented England at cricket at schoolboy level while at the same time, becoming County Champion at chess on numerous occasions: I have long been fascinated by the combination of mind and body in the pursuit of excellence!

In more recent years, I have focused my physical activity on resistance and interval training as well as pilates and stretching.

I have worked all over the world with Senior Managers and Board directors from multinational companies including Unilever, Aditya Birla Group, Yahoo, Dell, PETRONAS, Kimberly Clark, Timberland, Imperial Tobacco and Pernod Ricard (formerly Allied Domecq) as a leadership trainer and executive coach.

I am fascinated how some people produce excellence in their life, while others, with similar backgrounds, education, intelligence and physical gifts go onto produce average results.

Three things have become increasingly clear to me as I have worked with my clients. If you want to create lasting change then:
- Working with an individual's mind, body or emotion, in isolation, is not sufficient. You need to be skilled at working with all three areas.
- Working with an individual in isolation is not sufficient. One of the biggest factors in whether new behavior and results prove sustainable is the support network that the person has around them.
- There must be a willingness to practice.

It was this realization that led me to create Sarius Performance International with my wife, Sari.

Sari Marsden

I have been active in the performance coaching and leadership community for more than 10 years. I use a wide range of training techniques that combine a person's physical, mental and emotional states in order to produce powerful and sustainable shifts in their lives.

I enjoy working with both individuals and groups and am particularly passionate about working with women. My personal vision is to empower women to discover and embrace their core strength and beauty.

I am an NASM-certified personal trainer, corrective exercise and fitness nutrition specialist and also a certified Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation. My passion for fitness has led me to become an elite trainer for the Nike Training Club in South East Asia and I am a 4x champion in fitness physique competitions across South East Asia.

Living as an athlete, I understand how strong the connection is between mind, body and emotion. I appreciate the critical nature of the support network I have around me as well as the importance of practice.

It is these factors that led me to create Sarius Performance International with my husband, Marcus.
